Monkey bars, physical blockades, and mental puzzles—Grit ‘N Wit, which made its Woodberry debut on Sunday, September 18th, welcomed PLC groups at 1:00 PM, lasting approximately an hour and twenty minutes for everyone to clear the 16 obstacle courses. The groups had to be quick, smart, and cooperative to win. Ultimately, William Bledsoe ’23 and his PLC group took the crown with a time of just over sixteen minutes, and prizes, including gift cards and sunglasses, were distributed for the top three finishers. After the competition among the PLC groups, Grit ‘N Wit was available for the Woodberry community to enjoy. My PLC group was asked to give a rating from 0 to 10, and the majority voted a solid nine. Personally, I thought it was a great bonding experience for the PLC groups, and I would give it a ten. What could’ve made it better? I think adding some music throughout some courses would’ve given people an extra thrill. I also think prizes could’ve been bigger, perhaps a $25 amazon gift card for the first place. Anyhow, I hope Grit N’ Wit comes back during the Spring or next year.
