This past Monday seven members of Woodberry’s Boy Scout Troop went camping at Robertson Lake. The Scouts set up camp near the shelter and then decided to do some fishing. Avery Shuford ‘23 was the true angler, as he managed to catch over ten fish. Later that evening the Scouts made some lasagna and cherry cobbler in dutch ovens. I talked with Aidan Stakem ‘23, who participated in the trip, and he said “It was great to get away from dorm for the night” and that “The campout was well-timed because we were able to enjoy the beautiful spring weather.” The scouts hope to get back out for another successful campout sometime soon.
