Students were happy to receive an email from Dr. Hulsey Monday afternoon announcing that Wednesday would be a free day. This “vaccine day” was the result of roughly half of the student body receiving their second vaccine dose Tuesday afternoon. This freed up Tuesday afternoon and study hall was cancelled. Many boys took Dr. Hulsey’s advice to “not squander this opportunity to make academic headway with your classes.” Boys also took advantage of the beautiful day and went to the river or played golf or basketball. However, some boys spent the day recovering from the vaccine. No matter how you spent the vaccine day, students can agree that it was a welcomed break from the daily grind of Woodberry life.
